  I have not encountered such a terrible experience in dealing with medical insurance until this place. If you need prescription glasses, I advise you to find another vendor. The associates here were super helpful in finding a pair of frames. They were patient, I will give them that. Things went downhill when it came to purchasing. Nothing was voluntarily explained to me regarding insurance coverage (I have HMSA). I was only provided a receipt showing the total amount my credit card was charged, versus an itemized listing that detailed how much for lenses, frames, etc....All this I had to ask and follow up on. Even then, I kept being referred to another person  as it seems the sales associates are not familiar with insurance coverage. I paid the full amount of my glasses when I ordered them,  including what may have been covered by HMSA and was to eventually be reimbursed to me. I was told that once that reimbursement comes through,  it would be sent to me. So I patiently waited then followed up after not hearing back or receiving a check in nearly 2 months. I called HMSA first and learned my reimbursement had been sent just a few days after purchasing my glasses, meaning it had been sitting around somewhere at Hi-Trend for weeks. I also learned from HMSA that I had been grossly overcharged (nearly $200) by Hi-Trend due to having paid upfront. Per HMSA, because Hi-Trend is a participating provider, they are not supposed to collect payment upfront,  but instead first send a claim to HMSA and then collect payment after being advised by HMSA how much. So now I will continue patiently waiting for my reimbursement to finally come through, with the correct amount....
